Alive healthy laboratory rabbit obtained from animal laboratories that have not been inoculated with or exposed to any livestock or avian species is conducted or poultry disease agent’s exotic. Rabbit bone marrow is procured from the fresh femurs. The mononuclear cells are enriched by density gradient separation. While peripheral blood mononuclear cells are collected from fresh blood which enriches lymphocytes and monocytes while depleting mature granulocytes. Rabbit BM CD34+ cells then are isolated from bone marrow mononuclear cells using a direct immunomagnetic CD34+ MicroBead labeling system. Harvested purified cells are analyzed using a laser analytical flow cytometer confirming the purity is greater than 90%. FACScan will be provided. Customize project is acceptable make upon request.

Rabbit cells are used as general surgical models of most organs and systems for cardiovascular research including atherosclerosis, for digestive system models, and in recent years in transplantation and xenografic research. They are being explored as models in many other systems because of the widespread availability of both domestic and miniature breeds.
