Alive healthy laboratory rat obtained from animal laboratories that have not been inoculated with or exposed to any livestock or avian species is conducted or poultry disease agent’s exotic. Rat bone marrow is procured from the rat fresh femurs. Bone marrow mononuclear cells are expanded for up to 2 weeks on tissue culture plastic with MSC media. Sprague-Dawley rat MSC express CD90 and CD29. They do not express CD45 and CD11b. Rat-BM-MSCs are analyzed using a laser analytical flow cytometer confirming the purity is greater than 90%. FACScan will be provided.
